I decided to go on this photography conference on a whim a month ago and I am so glad I did! Call it my “mom vacation/continuing education/ portfolio building/ hit restart” trip (Ha!)!
The styled shoots were unlike anything I had ever photographed before and I met 10 other unbelievable photographers from all over the country. Stepping out of my region, social circles and comfort zone allowed me to learn from the other woman and take away some new ideas for my business. Shooting in the desert and around the town of Joshua Tree with two, styled models was definitely the highlight of the trip! I’m convinced that Dallas needs a desert…who can make that happen :)!?
We shot in the town of Joshua Tree the first day and I love how quirky it is! Old school salons, dinosaur statues in front of someone’s house and a purple school bus were just a few of my favorite things!
Thank you to, Seniorologie, Leslie Kerrigan and Sarah Modene for hosting such a fun event!
Enjoy a few (ok, maybe more than a few) of my favorites from my first day in Joshua Tree, California! (Day 2 coming soon!)
