Your wedding day is one of the most fun and exciting days you will ever have! It is full of laughter, happiness, pictures, family, friends and dancing. After shooting 100+ weddings and being a bride myself, I know the entire day will be a BLUR.
It is necessary to plan a schedule of the day’s events with your wedding planner and photographer to capture every detail of your special day. Set aside time for pictures of the bride and groom getting ready, reception details such as flowers, food, tablescapes, etc. as well as jewelry, attire, invitations, or other props you have incorporated that are special to you.
Your photographer wants to focus on the EVENTS of the day. A “Bride and Groom” bag will help SAVE A LOT OF TIME AND STRESS for everyone. Use a checklist and pack your items before your wedding day to assure you won’t forget anything. As soon as your photographer and wedding party arrives, they can start photographing without having to make a frantic search for these items. You will be busy with other things and will not want a chaotic, messy bridal suite with a frazzled bride, groom or bridal party!
Make sure your photographer is aware of any sentimental or special items/details you would like photographed. When I got married, I had a special bracelet that I loved that my grandmother gave me when I was a little girl. I put my grandmother’s bracelet around my bouquet and my photographer made sure there were pictures of the bracelet and bouquet.
I hope the following packing lists are helpful on your wedding day and optimizes your photographers talents to capture your special day.
